A Faringdon Town Council Youth Grant has been put to good use this weekend. The fund paid for Faringdon Young Farmers to purchase boots and shirts for the Faringdon Junior YFC tug of war team.
The County Mini Rally was held on Sunday at Roves Farm and the team won the tug of war heats against Witney, Enstone/Bicester, and Henley Clubs.
The whole of the Faringdon Junior team was also invited by the referee to try out for the England youth team.
The next stage of the County competition is for the top two County teams (Faringdon and Witney) to pull again at the Main County Rally in May and for the successful team to them go forward to the South of England Show at Ardingly.
