Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Ashbury / Compton Beauchamp, B4507
Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting
Date of Order: 26 September 2022
Coming into force: 3 October 2022
This Order is being introduced because of highway maintenance work which
is anticipated to be completed 11 November 2022.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or
waiting in that part of the B4507 between Ashbury village and the crossroads
with Knighton Hill at Compton Beauchamp.
Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are
in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for
access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
The alternative route for traffic is via the B4000 to Shrivenham, the A420 to
Faringdon onto the A417, the B4001 to Childrey, returning back to the B4507,
and vice versa. Access to Kingstone Winslow will only be maintained
throughout the works via the B4000 and Station Road.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the
works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
