Faringdon Museum Launch

Faringdon Museum was launched on the 18th July, the museum is housed in the Pump House consists of a timeline of Faringdon’s History, cabinets displaying Faringdon Fossils, Faringdon’s ancient residents, Faringdon at War and much more.

The museum is funded by Faringdon Town Council and Oxfordshire County Council, curated by Faith Carpenter from The Company Curator. Fossils were kindly donated by Oxfordshire Geology Trust and artefacts were loaned to the museum by Simon Hallewell. The museum is both informative and fun, perfect for all ages. Complete with a dressing up box and fossils to touch and hold.

The Faringdon Museum is open to visitors and residents through the Faringdon Information Centre open Monday to Friday 9 am to 4pm and Saturdays 9:30 am to 1 pm.
