Faringdon Town Centre Temporary Road Closure: 100 Years of Royal British Legion & D Day, Saturday 1 June 2024, 8:30-12:30

The Vale of White Horse District Council (Temporary Closure of Roads, Faringdon no.10) Order 2024

WHEREAS the Vale of White Horse District Council (VoWHDC) is satisfied that, on the occasion
of the 100 Years of Royal British Legion and D Day Parade the following roads
named below are likely to be thronged or liable to be obstructed:

• Cornmarket;
• Market Place, including the bus lane;
• London Street, from the junction with Swan Lane to Market Place;
• Church Street, from the junction with Swan Lane to Market Place;
• Gloucester Street, from the junction with Lechlade Road to
  Cornmarket.
  

NOW THEREFORE the Vale of White Horse District Council, in exercise of its
powers under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847, hereby makes the
following Order:-
(1) Save as provided in Article 2 of this Order, between the hours of 08:30 and
12:30 on 01 June 2024 the streets as detailed above shall be closed to all
vehicular traffic.
(2) The restriction referred to in Article 1 of this Order shall not apply to emergency
service vehicles and shall be subject to the discretion of a Police Officer in
uniform.
(3) This Order may be cited as “The Vale of White Horse District Council
(Temporary Closure of Roads, FARINGDON No.10) Order 2024”.
