Folk Weekend Oxford Comes to Faringdon October 9th

Folk Weekend On Tour: Faringdon

9th October 2021

We are so excited to be supporting Folk Weekend Oxford’s new venture, bringing FWO fabulousness to the market towns of Oxfordshire; and our first mini-festival is in Faringdon in the south west of the county.  We are very grateful for the support of Faringdon Town Council to put on this event and really value their partnership.  

This event consists of one ticketed concert and other free FWO events during the day.

£15/£12 (and your ticket also gets you discounts at a number of Faringdon hospitality venues!)More details and ticket link here The Stage at The Bell From Midday come to The Bell for live music from an array of fabulous local folk musicians. The Bell is a wonderful old pub in the centre of the town.  They serve fabulous food and a wide array of wines beers and spirits.  Our stage will be in their characterful courtyard (with contingency for wet weather). You can come listen to our musicians from there, or sit in the pub and listen from a distance Order a drink, take a seat, and take in the Faringdon vibe!  Come for lunch or an evening meal.  More details on our performers will follow here very soon.   Morris Dancing The town will be full of Morris dancers from 11am onwards.  See them in the Market Place, outside the Folly Pub, and in the Swan unofficial garden on Park Road. More details on sides, schedule and map to follow shortly Sessions Once the Morris finishes the session begins.  From 4pm the Swan is the place to be for tunes and songs.  All are welcome to join in, or just sit in the pub and listen! Fringe Events! The Saturday market will be on from 10am and Faringdon local Al Cane will introduce some local folk buskers to entertain market goers and FWOT early birds!
