For Potential Councillors:
A reminder that nominations may be submitted from 20 March from 10.00am until 4.00pm each day including Saturdays (but not on Sundays) to Meeting Room 2, Abbey House, Abbey Close, Abingdon, OX14 3JE. The final date and time for their receipt will be 4.00 pm on Tuesday 4 April 2023. Earlier submission will give the maximum time to sort any issues out.
Please note that parish clerks are under no obligation to deliver nomination papers for candidates. Completed nomination papers must, by law, be submitted by hand (i.e. NOT posted) to the Returning Officer. Any nomination papers that are posted to the Returning Officer will be rejected.
Bring photo ID to vote on 4th May
From 4th May 2023, voters in England will need to show photo ID to vote at polling stations.
