Platinum Jubilee Beacon road closures

THE VALE OF WHITE HORSE DISTRICT COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ROADS, FARINGDON NO.22)
ORDER 2022
WHEREAS the Vale of White Horse District Council is satisfied that, on the occasion of
the Platinum Jubilee Beacon the following roads named below are likely to be thronged
or liable to be obstructed:
 Market Place (including bus lane) from its junction with Church Street to its
junction with London Street
NOW THEREFORE the Vale of White Horse District Council, in exercise of its powers
under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847, hereby makes the following
Order:-
(1) Save as provided in Article 2 of this Order, between the hours of 20:30 and 22:30
on 02 June 2022 the streets as detailed above shall be closed to all vehicular traffic.
(2) The restriction referred to in Article 1 of this Order shall not apply to emergency
service vehicles and shall be subject to the discretion of a Police Officer in uniform.
(3) This Order may be cited as “The Vale of White Horse District Council (Temporary
Closure of Roads, Faringdon No.22 Order 2022”.

ORDER 2022
Notice is hereby given that Vale of White Horse District Council has made an Order
under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847, the effect of which is, on the
occasion of the Platinum Jubilee Beacon on 02 June 2022 between 20:30 and 22:30 to
close the roads below to all vehicular traffic:
 Market Place (including bus lane) from its junction with Church Street to its
junction with London Street
This temporary restriction does not apply to emergency service vehicles and is subject to
the discretion of a Police Officer in uniform.
