PUBLIC MEETING – Recyling Centre

Posted on September 18, 2015

Public Meeting to discuss the possible closure of Recycling Centres, such as Stanford in the Vale, in Oxfordshire:

Monday 28th September 2015

8pm

The Corn Exchange

FARINGDON

Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) has reduced the overall household waste recycling centre budget by £350,000 for 2017/18. This means that the number of Recycling Centres, like Stanford in the Vale, will reduce from seven to three or four. There could also be changes to the hours of operation.

Faringdon Town Council voted on Wednesday 9th September to oppose the possible closure of the Stanford in the Vale Recycling Centre.

OCC are holding a consultation on these proposals which closes on 5th October 2015. Please Click here for details.

Representatives from OCC will be present at the meeting answer questions and concerns.

Please pass this invitation to any interested parties.
