Summer Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme

Posted on July 13, 2023

Hello from the South and Vale Community Hub

We have news about the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme that might be of interest to you and to the families that you support.

The programme offers free holiday activities to school-aged children who have started Reception – Year 11, and who are in receipt of benefits-related free school meals. In order to book onto the activities, families will receive a code from their schools to enable them to book on this website: https://coordinate.cloud/haf-oxfordshire-county-council/ If their school have not given them the code, they can ask the school for it, or the Oxfordshire HAF team can be contacted to check eligibility and attain a code either at [email protected] or by calling 01865 328 460

This summer, there are a wide range of activities available, including football, multi-sports, art, and drama. Eligible children and young people are entitled to:

  • At least 4 hours each day.
  • nutritious meal each day they attend the camp.

The programme is also open to refugees, including people fleeing the conflict in Ukraine.

Below are the activities available in our districts. Some are already fully booked, so are not on the Coordinate booking site. The ones that have applied for additional SEN/d support will have additional staff. Other providers can be inclusive, but we encourage families with children with additional needs to contact the provider to discuss how to best support the child.

We would also like to bring to your attention South and Vale children’s Waste and Recycling Activity Pack.

This colourful and easy-to-read pack provides some fun activities for young children to enjoy during the summer holidays which will help teach them about waste and recycling and about reducing waste around the home.

Best wishes,
