Temporary Road Closure-Faringdon, Market Place

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Location: Faringdon, Market Place

Date of Order: 14 June 2021

Coming into force: 22 June 2021

This Order is being introduced because of restoration work to the town hall which is anticipated to be completed on 1 August 2021.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the whole length of the Market Place

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.

The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure is via A4095 – Marlborough Street- vice versa.

The alternative route for traffic is to the south of Market Place.
