Thank you to the Vale Path Volunteers for tidy on Church Walk, Faringdon

Posted on August 13, 2024

Many thanks to the Vale Path Vounteers (VPV), the path maintenance team of the VOWH Ramblers, who returned to Faringdon on 5 August 2024 to mainly clear the Church Walk path to Littleworth. They report:

“The main path that we worked on was Church Walk (FP12) towards Littleworth. This had a lot of brambles coming over the path, plus briar and hawthorn. Our seven-person team also did clearance work on the path from Stanford Road up to and beyond the Folly, then we took the path through the woods heading northwards, where we hauled a fallen tree off the footpath. We also did some clearing on the field edge footpath that leads down from FP12 into the Vale to the north.

We were gratified that so many people passed us on FP12; this is clearly an important off-road link between Faringdon and Littleworth.” Dave Cavanagh of Vale Path Volunteers
